A Volunteer Grassroots Movement

The Deutsche eMark is a fully nonprofit and decentralized project. It is not backed by any company, but by an open community of volunteers who are committed to building an independent and fair monetary system. Since its founding in 2013, all contributors have worked on a voluntary basis: from the development team to designers and community moderators.

We see ourselves as part of an international movement. Through the Community Coins Alliance, we maintain contact with similar projects from other countries that also promote national, decentralized currencies – including Auroracoin (Iceland), Pakcoin (Pakistan), and eGulden (Netherlands). Together, we stand for identity, sovereignty, and independence in the crypto space.
